Students -- the standard deviation calculator on the web page is now up
and running. However, due to security changes made in Java 7, many
browsers will not be able to run it without intervention.

The Java file that runs is digitally signed by me -- but not an external
body -- so the Java Runtime Environment on many of your systems will not
let the applet run. An easy fix is to go to your JAVA CONTROL PANEL and
on the SECURTY tab add a security exception.

Add...

http://theochem.mercer.edu

and then go try to load the webpage. You will still get a security
warning, but I assure you that theochem.mercer.edu (the Theoretical
Chemistry Webserver) is maintained exclusively by me, has a high level
of security, and the applets won't hurt your system. You should be good
to run the applet then.

Let me know if you run into problems.

Remember - you are only using this to quickly find which three of your
experiments give the best precision.
