[CHM 111] Problems with Pre-lab

It has come to my attention that some of you are having problems with
the second part of the prelab. The mass of the solution after you add
the sodium hydroxide should be 102 grams plus the mass of the sodium
hydroxide. You need to look in the lab procedures and report form to
find the heat capacity of the resulting solution. Once you find the
heat via
$q = m c_s \Delta T$
divide by the heat by the moles of sodium hydroxide to find the
enthalpy. Remember that it is exothermic -- so use the correct sign.
