[CHM 111] Class and Lab Tomorrow

So remember...

1.  Lab reports are NOT due tomorrow, but you are going to try and graph 
your data from last week and bring your results to class so we can use 
the data from lab in our class example of calorimetry (and I'll show you 
how to do the calculations for the lab).  For those that need help 
creating computer-generated plots for the lab reports, I will be glad to 
help you with that next week.

2.  The lab we are doing is the Identification of the Nickel unknown.  
You need to read the procedure and prepare for lab.  You will be 
creating several solutions using volumetric glassware and also using the 
spectrophotometers for the first time.  Please read over the use of the 
spectrophotometers (the link is on the same page where you download the 
lab procedures).  We will have instructions in the lab to help you with 
the spectrophotometers as well, but it always helps to review the 
material multiple times. Tomorrow will be our last "wet lab" in Willet 
(I might cry...). The remainder of the labs will not utilize the 
equipment in your lab drawers.  We will still meet in the lab -- but 
just do experiments that require common equipment.
