[CHM 111] Born-Haber/Lattice Energy

I want to reiterate that I will not be asking any questions related to
the Born-Haber cycle or lattice energy.  This is a topic that is used in
Gen Chem texts to help demonstrate why bonding occurs in ionic compounds
- and if we had more time I would cover it in detail.  It is sufficient
for you to know that when you break bonds it requires energy and that
when you make bonds you regain energy.  That being said, I do expect you
to know how to do problems related to BOND ENTHALPIES.
