<p><font face="serif">Students -- sometimes (rarely) I will encourage
you to memorize things. I strongly urge you to get out those
note cards or whatever other means you use to help you memorize
things to commit the polyatomic ions (table 2.9 in your text) to
memory. Knowing these will help you easily blow through the
setup phase of many problems so you can focus on the meat.</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">There are other tables that will also be important
to you, but much of the information in those can also be
determined via other means that eliminates the need for memorization.<br>
</font></p>
