Students -- since 85% of you told me you would
not be in class in the morning due to registration I am making
the following concessions:

1. There will be no class tomorrow morning at
8 am.

2. I have contacted the stockroom and we are
pushing the beginning of lab back to 9:30 am. Those not in lab
by then will not be allowed to do the lab.

Understand, the second item puts some
additional pressure on the stockroom because they have a shorter
time to clean up and restock the laboratories for the labs that
start at noon. They are doing you a huge favor. You must be
OUT of the laboratory absolutely no later than 11:45 tomorrow
morning. Please be prepared for lab. One good way to prepare
is to do the prelab that is due tomorrow morning at 9 am.

Now, regarding registration. It is my
understanding that the CHM and BIO courses have been scheduled
so that there is minimal overlap so that the largest number of
students can be served with our current facilities. While there
are limited seats in the classes there should be enough seats to
accommodate current CHM 111 students. I don't know if
waitlists will be active. I have been asked to tell you all that
you need to do your best to try to get into classes that fit
your schedule and worry less about trying to get into a particular
class with certain professors or with friends who might have
very different scheduling needs.

Good luck with registration and I'll see you
at 9:30 tomorrow morning.
