Hi all,
For you lab report next week (due on your normal lab day):
In the Final Result(s) box please give me the following - Your molar mass from experiment 1, your molar mass from experiment 2, the empirical formula from the % composition posted on the lab door, and your best guess at the molecular formula.
Then, you will attach (via a staple - not a paperclip, not a rock, not tape, - not stapled not accepted) your lab notes from this experiment. Please note that your lab notes should contain calculations from the lab (don't put the calculations on a separate sheet, do them in your lab notebook). That way if you are somehow way off, I can look at your calculations and see if you merit partial credit.
Turn in during lab.
I've also attached a copy of the report form if you break yours. I will make some available in lab each week as well. Please also note that I do not want the online report form. You can use that if it helps you figure out how to calculate things but I don't want it.
Make sure to do the online prelab for next week's lab. It shuts down on Monday I think but don't wait that long. Read the lab before you try it.
See you Tuesday,
Dr. H
