From the Lab descriptions you should have done SIX cooling curves
resulting in six freezing point determinations.
1. Pure Solvent - first time (Trial 1)
2. Pure Solvent - second time (Trial 2)
Average these to get the freezing point of the pure solvent.
3. Pure Solvent and ~3 g of solute - first time (Trial 1)
4. Pure Solvent and ~3 g of solute - second time (Trial 2)
Average these to get the freezing point of the solvent with ~3 grams of
solute added
5. Pure Solvent and ~6 g of solute - first time (Trial 1)
6. Pure Solvent and ~6 g of solute - second time (Trial 2)
Average these to get the freezing point of the solvent with ~6 grams of
solute added
Theoretically the molar mass you determine for the 3 grams of solute and
the 6 grams of solute should be the same.
