[CHM 112] The Listserve

Last night some folks tried to send messages through the class
listserve. For the most part they were deemed inappropriate and deleted
automatically by my content filters. There are literally hundreds of
attempts made daily to hack into my servers (I can show you the security
logs) and e-mail is one method that generally has vulnerabilities that
attackers can use -- that is why I keep the security so tight.
If you want to ask a question about the class or content in the class
please send the question directly to me (pounds_aj at mercer.edu) and not
the listserve. If you send an e-mail to the listserve it will go to the
entire class. Please note, however, that to keep spam out I have
several filters on the listserve and I personally moderate any requests
that makes it past those filters.
You are welcome to use the class listserve if you have a need to
communicate with the entire class -- but just know that I will have to
approve the message.
