I was asked about this a few minutes ago, so I
want to make sure that all of you know. If you look at your
syllabus, the last day for course withdrawal is TOMORROW (July
14th). Please don't read this as any sort of "Dr. Pounds wants
me to withdraw" message -- it is not. Some of you, however,
have shared with me that you MUST make a certain grade in the
class and the reason for the grade reports this afternoon was to
give you some idea of your current standing in the class prior
to the withdrawal deadline.

We still have several quizzes to take (in fact
you will have one tomorrow on Acids and Bases) and you still
have three labs, a test, an ACS exam, and a FINAL to go into the
final grade calculation for the course. As I mentioned in my
e-mails to each of you - your grades were based on ALL your
grades to date (including the exam that you took today).

See you in the morning.
