Hello, good people of CHM 115.

Just wanted to let you know that I received the final word from the MU
College of Pharmacy last week that they need 8 hours of inorganic
chemistry for admission to their PharmD program (both for GAPDP
participants and non-GAPDP participants). Those of you on the pre-pharm
track should therefore plan on taking CHM 241 next semester or next year
so that you will have the required 8 hr of inorganic chemistry.

MU's PA program (GAPDP or non-GAPDP) does not require that you take CHM
241 - just take organic I and II next year and biochem during year 3.

Students on other tracks -- it depends on your target school(s) on
whether or not they will accept 5 hr CHM 115 credit as fulfillment of
their admission requirement. Many of the professional schools I
contacted about this last year will accept the swap, but if you are
concerned about it, you might consider taking CHM 241, too, so that you
will have a full 8 hr of inorganic chemistry.

Thanks, and have a great afternoon.
