Students -- I know that some of you are working on your two titration
labs. As we discussed last week, you will need to use the three trials
from each set of labs that give the best average deviation. I know that
this can be a VERY time consuming process. For that reason I have
written a small Java applet that essentially does this for you.
Basically you enter three values (hitting enter after each value you
enter) and the Java applet will show you the value of the average
deviation.
Using this tool you should be able to isolate which three of your trials
in each lab give you the best precision. The tool is located in the LAB
section of the class webpage. Please let me know if you have any
problems accessing it or using it.
Also -- you still need to do the precision calculation yourself for your
report after you isolate the three trials; my online tool may not report
the sig figs correctly.
