[CHM 115] Prelab Note...

Good morning everyone -- I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I just 
wanted to let you know that I posted the lab procedures and report forms 
for this week's lab on atomic emission as well as the BlackBoard 
prelab.  Please note, the prelab and graph in the prelab will refer to a 
Pizza box that you will not be using.  In the past we asked students to 
build their own spectroscope out of a pizza box.  A few years ago we 
purchased a set of spectrocopes specifically for this lab in the hope 
that it would improve the results.   You still have to calibrate the 
spectroscope, so when you see the word "pizza box" in the prelab just 
mentally replace it with the word "spectroscope".  I'll clean up the 
prelab and lab if I ever get to teach this class again.

Prelabs are due before lab on Thursday.
