Class - tomorrow we will start to transition into chapter 2 -- and
we will finish out the week in chapter 2. I have placed some new
even numbered problems on the class webpage for you to try. It is
my hope to start getting some of my solutions to these problems
scanned by this weekend.<br>

You will RARELY hear me to tell you to commit things to memory --
but it is sometimes necessary and I will try to tell you when it is
appropriate to commit something to memory. I strongly encourage you
to know how to convert inches to cm.<br>

Also, I recommend that you start memorizing the common anions in
Table 3.9 of your text on page 121. I also recommend memorizing the
formulas for the acetate and ammonium ions:<br>

Acetate: C<sub>2</sub>H<sub>3</sub>O<sub>2</sub><sup>-</sup><br>

Ammonium: NH<sub>4</sub><sup>+</sup><br>
