    <p><font face="serif">On the syllabus our next exam is scheduled for

        October 16.  After we missed a day due to hurricane Helene I

        intended to move it to Friday the 18th, but Mercer has an away

        football game that weekend for which some of you already have

        university excuses.  For that reason your next exam will be on

        Monday October </font>21.</p>

    <p>To keep us on track we may start new material on the 18th that

      will not be on the exam.<br>
