[CHM 331] Mathematica Vectors

  I have gotten some questions from some of you regarding using 
Mathematica to solve vector (and dot product) type problems.  Something 
like this..

a = 4 i + 6 j - 8 k

isn't going to make any sense to Mathematica -- you have to put it in 
Mathematica (a.k.a -- matrix) notation.

a = {4, 6, -8}
