You all were dogging on my slides yesterday... After class I tried to
clean them up a bit and amended them per your recommendations. They are
now available on the class website.
You will also find HW assignment 3 on the class website. Since we are
not having class next Friday I have moved the due date to the following
Wednesday. This gives you two extra days to ask questions. You will
get a homework set next week related to the hydrogen atom and
approximation theories for atomic structure. It will be due on the
23rd. After that we will "close the canon" on information you have to
know for the first test. I would like to schedule our first evening
exam for *Monday March 2nd *(6-10 pm). Please check your calendars and
if possible go ahead and mark that time as reserved for your exam.
Finally -- on Monday I would like for us to meet in the Thunderdome for
class. I need to walk you through some of the tedium of building
harmonic oscillator wavefunctions in /Mathematica/ so you will have them
available to complete HW set 3.
