[CHM 331] Birge-Spooner Plots

Students, please make sure that when you create your Birge-Spooner plots
(problems 25.6 and 25.7) that you extend your best fit lines all the way
down to the X-Axis. Once you know the crossing point on the X-Axis
(which is the highest vibrational state for the well) you can then
simply calculate the dissociation energy by determining the area under
the curve. This is simply a right triangle -- so $A=\frac{1}{2}b h$
where $b$ abd $h$ refer to the base and the height of the triangle.
