Please note that I provided two different plots for the rotational
populations. One is based solely on the population and one is
based on the ratio of the population. It is important for you to
see both of these because both are generally presented in texts.
The key point is that the second plot (the one that shows the
ratios) does not preserve the number of particles in the system
while the first plot (that just shows the fractional populations)
does.<br>
