Students -- I know that a couple of you were wondering how to complete
some of the problems related to stats, calculus, and linear algebra with
your calculators.
For the three types of calculators I saw in lab (TI 83/84/89) I have
placed copies of the full TI Guidebooks on the class webpage in the
REFERENCE section. I know that the TI 83 and TI 84 manuals actually
contain examples of how to compute confidence intervals using the STAT
lists.

Also -- if you don't have a calculator and are looking for a cheaper
(and extremely powerful alternative) to the TI calculators that still
has solver and some calculus functions (no graphing), I would recommend
the HP 35S. They are around $50. The big brother of this calculator is
the HP 50G. It has 2D/3D graphing capability and is over the top with
features. It costs around $100.
