First... for those of you that missed class yesterday...

In many of my reviews of your heat capacity papers I mentioned an
equation to directly determine the heat capacity from the experimental
measurements. I went over the derivation of that equation in class
yesterday in class. Please talk to your group members and have them
show you how to derive the equation.

Secondly, while I did not cover this in class yesterday, each of you
will have to also derive the terms (see the equation below) for your
error in the measured heat capacity.

error equation
To find the error in the slopes of the lines, you will need to use the
procedure I described in class yesterday. Group 3 sent me their cleaned
up data and I am currently processing it. The other groups need to do
the same as soon as possible. Please consult with your group members in
class yesterday about some of the problems I saw with the graphs that
were submitted.
