Not a silly question at all.  Let me tell you what I think is going on.  
You built the presentation initially with the videos on your desktop.  
LibreOffice made a LINK to these videos (it didn't actually copy the 
videos into your presentation).  A LINK specifies WHERE the video is 
located and the name of the video in that location.  When you moved the 
videos to another location, LibreOffice's link to the videos was still 
pointing to the old location.

Here is what I recommend.

Create a folder on your destop.  Put your videos in that folder.  Build 
your presentation in that folder.  Make sure it all works -- and submit 
everything to BlackBoard.

Then try a test..  Move the folder to another location on your 
computer.  This should move the presentation and the video files 
together.  The presentation should still
work in the new location.
