Students -- for those of you wanting to build a linux bootable flash drive:
I will be in my office in Willet (room 105) after 1:30 today. It would
be great if one of two folks could come at that time to get things
started. Depending on the network speeds and the speed of your
computer/flash drive the process could take anywhere from 30 minutes to
three hours. I am fine if you want to get things started and then
leave them to continue the install why you go do other things. I will
need to leave campus around 6 pm -- so everything needs to be done by then.
Your laptop needs to have a CDROM drive and the BIOS will have to be
configured to boot first from the CD and then from the USB stick.
You need to bring a flash drive that is at least 8 GB in size.
