Alright -- while I am reasonably confident that most of you could
get the homework done on time, based on what I saw today I am not
optimistic about the majority of you getting the programming done by
next week. I am therefore planning on moving ALL of the due dates
(and the test) back one week. On Thursday I plan on lecturing on
clipping (both lines and polygons). I will also discuss briefly
the available algorithms for drawing circles. All of this is
covered in the handouts and in the Whitrow book; I will, however,
extract what I think are the most crucial concepts for presentation.
Next week we will have "open lab" for you to make significant
progress on your programming assignments. I will be present to help
you with your coding and may have to give some "mini lectures" on
how to implement the clipping algorithms in the texts. If you are
interested in using git for your code development, we may start
playing with that some too.<br>
<br>
If you haven't looked at your C++ books in a while you may want to
pull them out and review structs and pointers as many of the
graphics codes from the texts will use them ubiquitously.<br>

This reprieve gives many of you exactly what you have been asking
for -- more time. Use it wisely, ask questions (including using
e-mail) and let me know what things confuse you. As some of you
have found out, I answer e-mail and texts almost 24-7. <br>
