    Note:  my copy of Hearn has a typo on problem 2-6.  Problem 2-6

    states in my edition that 105 bits are transferred per second.  That

    is obviously wrong - I can talk faster that that.   In an earlier

    edition it was correct -- 10<sup>5  </sup>bits per second ( i.e. --

    100000).<br>
