<p><font face="serif">I have gotten several coding questions this
weekend via e-mail. This makes me happy because I know that
you are working on code. <br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">When helping with code I have generally tried
to come to your workstations and help in class, but a colleague
saw me helping out in class the other day and busted me for
violating COVID-19 social distancing rules. That habit has to
change. Therefore, in class tomorrow we will have another work
day and by the end of the day, not necessarily the end of the
class, I would like each of you to submit an issue for me to
check your first project assignment progress. <br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">As part of that submission your code should
minimally draw the viewport on the screen and allow me to click
on some points. I will check your work at some point and
comment on the issue. Depending on what I see I will either
close the issue or reassign it to you. If your notification
settings are set up properly, you should be getting e-mails from
Anvil when there is a change in an issue.<br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">I am going to have to be more diligent about
maintaining social distancing rules -- so I will not be able to
come to your workstations to look over code with you in the
classroom. Trust me, this make teaching this stuff MUCH harder
for me -- I like getting in the code with you, but for the sake
of safety I am going to half to limit myself from doing that and
utilize Anvil to help you with your code.</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">We also have the possibility of Zooming over
code outside of the classroom.</font></p>
<p><font face="serif">Keep the e-mail questions coming -- but when
it comes to code questions try to submit them via Anvil.<br>
</font></p>
<p>Stay safe and CODE ON!</p>
