before class starts, but I want to alert you to the following.
The book we will be using for CSC/MAT 335 is <b>"Numerical
Analysis" 10th ed, by Burden et. al.</b> You will be using
this book to look at samples of code and algorithms; I will be
also assigning homework problems from the book. This is a very
well respected text and you will find MANY options on third
party reseller sites. <br>

<p><font face="serif">This edition has been out for at least three
years, so you should have no problem finding used copies -- but
PLEASE make sure that you are getting the US (not foreign)
version of the text as the problem numbers and content vary in
the foreign editions. I will be assigning problems out of the
version of the text sold in the Mercer bookstore -- so check
that ISBN if you want to purchase from someone other than the
Mercer Bookstore.</font></p>
<p>Number Crunching time is almost here! The first homework set
will be passed out the first day of class.</p>
