Some of you have finished HW3 and are have
asked about HW4. I posted it last week. It LOOKS like it is
awful until you recognize that I have cherry-picked selections
from the problems in the text so that in most cases you are just
extending a method or slightly modifying what you did in a
previous step.

Homework 4 is due on the 17th (the Friday
AFTER Fall break). I will have them graded by either the Monday
or Tuesday. The plan right now is that your takehome exam will
be given to you at the end of class on Wednesday the 22nd. You
will need to return it to me by noon on the 23rd at my Godsey
office (room 438). If I am not in my office please slide your
exam under the door.

The exam will only cover chapters 3 and 4.
For the material in chapter 3 you will have to create some
interpolation plots. I will have a place on CANVAS for you to
upload your plot files.

My plan for Monday of this week is to go over
how to to do my problem on HW 4 and talk about some coding
strategy. On Wednesday we will do a little refresher on
improper integrals (section 4.9). I will leave time at the end
of both class periods for in-class project work and questions.

We will start chapter 5 (which goes quick
because we only consider three sections) next week.
