I want you all to know that the MASS of the pendulum should not affect
the period -- the length of the pendulum affect the period. Because of
some shortcuts I made in the derivation of the differential equation to
simplify things, I ended up using a "normalized" mass value.  Therefore
in your simulations changing the mass will affect the pendulum.

Don't worry about it -- just report what you find.
