[CSC 415] /usr/lib

While answering some questions today I have noticed several of you using
-L/usr/lib in your makefiles.  Now, this may be an artifact left over
from some of the older makefiles I have given you, but only use this if
you need to.  I could cause conflicts with the system wide libraries I
built for us in /usr/local/gcc/*  and give you linker errors.

On Tuesday I hope to show you the proper (a.k.a. - conventional) way to
build a "distribution tree" with separate directories for your
components.   I promise we will start slow so that it is not too
overwhelming.
