[CSC 435] Job Issues and the Godsey Cluster

Guys - on Friday some of you were experiencing an issue where your
pthreads jobs were not returning values.  I did some investigating and
their are multiple possible reasons for this, but resolving these will
take one-on-one time with me and you at your Godsey workstation to
resolve.  We will definitely have to do that before we start doing
distributed computing -- but I want to simplify your life right now
rather than complicating it.

For that reason I have - for the time being - paused and relocated all
of my research calculations  from hammer.

I would like for you to re-do your p-threads exercise using hammer and
not your local machine in Godsey (just the part where you build the
table).  Please use something like the job submission script I gave you
in the exercise description -- you need all of the "#" items from the
job submission script -- those are not comments!   In class on Monday I
want to try a few experiments with you related to hammer.  The final
version of initial pThreads and Dusty will be due Monday night.

Enjoy the superbowl...
