So Lauren asked a question on Tuesday about
makefiles that gave me a crazy idea that came to fruition around
11:30 last night. Some others have asked about "git", and I've
got to show you all how to use a random number generator that
will work consistently across languages and architectures. I'm
going to try and push all of this to you during class today so
you can make some marked headway on your dusty deck timing work.

Please try to get to class on time and go ahead and get set up in
Linux. I have a CLA Promotions and Post Tenure Review committee
meeting this morning, but I am going to try and get out of it by
10:30 so I can have the classroom ready for us.

Unfortunately I don't have all of this typed as neat notes, so
you may want to bring something to write on as well. I'll work on
a handout later, but it's not going to happen today.

Stay safe out there...
