<p>If your jobs doesn't need 8 hours to run, then don't specify
that. Torque is trying to use it's fair-share scheduling policies
and right now it sees a ton of jobs that all need the same amount
of time to run - so it's just lining them up and running them one
at a time.</p>
<p>Also, it's poor etiquette to run many identical benchmarks over
the same number of processors in the same script. Some of you
tied the cluster up for hours yesterday running the same command
repeatedly in one script. <br>
</p>
<p>Also -- the MAXIMUM number of nodes you should be using is 20. I
killed jobs that were using more or attempting to use more.<br>
