[Olympus Users] Building AC Update

I was told that the AC would be repaired today. I just walked over to
the CS building to turn all of the lab cluster systems on and noted that
the chiller outside the building was switched off. After investigating I
learned that the part needed to fix the chiller was damaged during
shipment. The repairs will not take place until next Wednesday. While
preparing to work on the chiller this morning they also disabled key
components of the unit so that it cannot even partially cool the
building right now. They anticipate the building being so hot that
classes will have to be moved on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

I have been told that the server room AC unit is still functioning and
there are no plans to take the cluster head node (zeus) and the
bioinformatics server (hera) down during this time.

I will let you know if and when there is a status change.

On a happy note, the CS department has made an offer to one of the
sysadmin candidates.
