Homework set 2 is posted on the class website. It will be due September
17th. The password is the same.
I will also be emailing each of you an individual five digit password
that you will need to use to access your individualized data sets for
the computational math tools homework capsule that is due on the 14th.
Write this password down somewhere as you will also need to use it later
in the semester.
As a side note. Please let me know if you need help getting these data
into Excel! If you are typing everything into Excel by hand you are
doing it the wrong way!
I also posted the Symmetry capsule. The symmetry capsule is a very
compact version of problems from chapter 12, but summarily covers what I
think you need to know about symmetry and group theory for our
conversations related to molecular structure and spectroscopy. This is
a capsule you will do on your own (I won't be lecturing much on group
theory) but I will try to provide you some outside resources to help you
in your endeavors. This will be due in early October.
