We are happy to tell you that the USAJOBS announcement for 2016 summer 
internships at Robins AFB will soon be open. The announcements *open on 
Mon 23 Nov 2015 and close at midnight, Tue 1 Dec 2015*. Late 
applications may not be considered.

Students should go to www.usajobs.gov <http://www.usajobs.gov>, 
establish an account, upload a copy of their resume and current 
transcript, then apply to the appropriate announcement. Students should 
carefully read and follow the instructions. Incomplete applications may 
not be considered. See below for the announcement numbers. These are 
paid internships - details are in the announcements. These are civilian 
internships with the US Federal Government, Department of Defense. No 
military commitment is expected.

Our primary interest is in Electrical or Computer/Software Engineering 
and Computer Science. We also expect a few Mechanical, Aerospace, and 
Industrial Engineering positions. Others are welcome to apply, but those 
are the disciplines we typically hire. We do not recruit for Engineering 
Technology, Information Technology, Network Management, etc., degrees. 
Engineering majors should apply to the GS-0899 announcement. Computer 
Science majors should apply to the GS-1599 announcement.

US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security 
Clearance are conditions of employment. If selected, you will be 
required to submit to a fingerprint and background check. If those are 
favorable, you can begin employment while the investigation for your 
Security Clearance proceeds. Applicants should have completed two (2) 
academic years or more of post-high school study leading to a bachelor's 
degree directly related to the field of the position by the end of 
December 2015, leading to a bachelor's degree directly related to the 
field of the position. Transcripts are required to substantiate 
possession of the claimed education. Other qualifications are described 
in the announcements.

Please note that these positions are located only at Robins AFB, Warner 
Robins, GA. There is no housing/lodging on base associated with these 
internships. Students will be responsible for their own local lodging 
and transportation.
