Scientists,
I hope this finds you all well. I wanted to clarify a few pointers about naming that we went over in SI:
ClO4- --> perchlorate
ClO3- --> chlorate
ClO2- --> chlorite
ClO- --> hypochlorite
HClO4 --> perchloric acid
HClO3 --> chloric acid
HClO2 --> chlorous acid
HClO --> hypochlorous acid
Please be cognizant that ions will have charges present whereas acids will not have charges. Attached is the highly requested answer key. Any questions regarding the practice test will be happily answered if you contact me. Thank you and may the chemistry force be with you this Wednesday!
