Class -- I was notified by the stockroom that we do not have enough
bunsen burners available this week to have each of you to do lab 2 (the
Alum lab) independently. We will therefore be working as partners again
this week to synthesize the Alum.
Each *PAIR* of students needs to supply one aluminum can for the lab.
During the Alum lab period you will also be making the sodium hydroxide
solution for use in next week's lab. *EACH* student needs to make *their
own* sodium hydroxide solution and place it in a labelled brown bottle.
One benefit of working in pairs is that it should make the lab go a
little faster for those of you who want to get some tailgating in before
the game.
