[CHM 331] HW 3 Variational Problem

I am anticipating that most, if not all, of you will have some 
difficulty setting up the variational problem that is in HW set 3.  On 
Monday I will introduce the variational method as a part of our lecture 
and will provide you some guidance on how to set up and solve problem 4 
on the homework.
