CSC 125 Online Students:
As of 5 pm roughly 1/4 of the class had completed the Excel assignments
in MyITLab and BlackBoard. Once person reported some issues opening one
of the BlackBoard assignments -- but that problem seems to have fixed
itself now.
Here is what I am going to do. I will leave the /MyITLab Excel/
activities and the /BlackBoard /dropboxes open until Sunday night at
midnight. If you didn't get the Word assignments done (those points are
gone) then this is your chance to catch up.
NOTE: There is going to be an outage of MyITLab between 11:45 pm Friday
night and 8:00 Saturday morning. Don't try to do any MyITLab stuff
during this time.
Also you have two relatively simple projects to complete in BlackBoard
by Friday night related to your computer's hardware/software
configuration and Python programming.
Please look at the calendar -- on WEDNESDAY of next week ALL of the
Access assignments are due. Access is the NEW thing to many of you and
will take some work on your part to learn. Again -- MyITLab is really
going to help you here! Use it. My recommendation is that you go
ahead and get all this Excel stuff done so that you can focus on getting
the Access items done in a "normal", non-rushed manner.
Because we are running out of time, there is no way I can move any more
deadlines. I am going to be crunched enough just trying to get all of
the grading done with the short window between the Excel due date and
the Access due date.
Finally -- for those that are thinking of dropping the class -- the
deadline for Withdrawal is next Tuesday (July 19th).
I want to sincerely thank those of you that have been diligent in
getting your worked turned in and that have been asking questions. I
really enjoy interacting with students and I like to see -- even if by
e-mail -- you having those ahh-ha moments.
As always -- let me know if you are having any problems or have
questions about the assignments.
