So look back at the example.  You need to build the equations so that 
they are $F_1(x_1,x_2)=0$ and $F_2(x_1,x_2)=0$. Then you Jacobian matrix 
is built like the one on the bottom of page 652 -- but it will only be a 
2x2 matrix.
