Some of you have had some issues running my Java applets. In almost all
cases this is due to a Java security issue.

To resolve this problem go to your JAVA Configuration Pane (should be on
the startup menu). If you are using Windows 8 move your mouse to the
bottom left of the screen and type "java configuration". You should see
a window open with options. Select "Java Configuration" Add a
security exception for

http://theochem.mercer.edu

It will complain, but go ahead and accept it as you know theochem
belongs to me. The try to start the average deviation applet again.
You should get a different error this time asking you if you want to
accept the exception. Again, it's theochem, and you know the person the
owns it -- so you are okay to accept the exception.

This should fix the problem with all browsers. Please experiment with
to tool. It requires you to hit the enter key after you type in each
number and it does not use significant figures. It is a great way to
figure out which trials you can neglect.

Now, since some of you have had difficulties, and I am requiring you to
use your precision to determine which readings to throw away, *you may
wait until Friday morning to turn in the lab*.

I expect you to turn in *TWO separate labs*. Two report forms and two
data sheets. I will not be collecting notebook pages this time.
