Toward the end of Friday's lecture I showed you some useful
relationships for going between hydronium ion and hydroxide ion
concentrations and pH. I encourage you to know these and how to use
these in preparation for a quiz that you will have on Tuesday at the end
of class.

\documentclass{article} \usepackage[utf8x]{inputenc} \pagestyle{empty}
\begin{document} \begin{eqnarray*} K_w &=& \mathrm{[H_3O^+][OH^-] =
1\times 10^{-14}}\\ \mathrm{pH} &=& \mathrm{-\log[H_3O^+]}\\
\mathrm{pOH} &=& \mathrm{-\log[OH^-]}\\ pK_w &=& 14\\ pK_w &=&
\mathrm{pH} + \mathrm{pOH}\\ \mathrm{[H_3O^+]} &=& \mathrm{10^{-pH}}\\
\mathrm{[OH^-]} &=& \mathrm{10^{-pOH}}\\ \end{eqnarray*} %this is where
your LaTeX expression goes \end{document}
